This is our second EGO product and we both love it! We are landscapers and have a garage of gas tools. Just put in bar and chain oil and push a button instead of pushing the choke, pump bulb and ripping your shoulder out starting a gas chainsaw. The EGO is much quieter than the gas chainsaw, the 18" cut through multiple big limbs and a downed tree that was 2.5 feet in diameter like butter. We are very impressed, after all that cutting still had more power. Fast ship and the best price around, we highly recommend this seller. We are soooo happy!

EGO products are solid. I have two different mowers, power head string trimmer, backpack blower. Now the saw. I don't know others experience, but I am still using my very first battery which is five Oregon years old. I charge & store it exactly how EGO recommends, it is not quite as long lasting as it used to be, but I can still mow both my front & back yards (not huge, but not tiny either) & do a little weed wacking too in the same charge.

I was leary of buying a battery powered chainsaw but I was very pleasantly surprised. I will never go back to those old fashioned gas powered chainsaws. My arm still hurts from trying to start one. We cut down and chopped up a good sized tree after Hurricane Ida and for the first time doing a job like that I was thrilled to have such a fine piece of equipment. Battery lasts for quite some time and it's powerful enough to easily cut down a 30+ foot tree.

We had a storm that blew over two trees in our yard. I have/had a GAS chainsaw. While it did cut well, it was a "SOB" to get started!!! And then it wouldn't start at all... Have had ENOUGH of gas-powered lawn equipment... so bought the EGO 18" chainsaw. WOW... am I glad I did!! No worries about starting - EVER!!! And it had the power to cut through that 12" trunk "like a hot knife through butter"!!!!!!!! A GREAT CHAINSAW!!!!!!!!

I wanted to try out a battery operated chainsaw over my gas one, and I am not disappointed. I read and looked at several reviews, dewalt, milwaukee, and ego. I went with the ego and am really happy with it. It has good power and can cut as well as my gas chainsaw. It is around the same weight with the 5ah battery. I also have the power station which makes charging battery very easy, although they need to come up with a larger charger and solar charging capabilities. Good buy, look for a deal.
