Book was used and in condition as described and expected, even with the bent corner. Have bought books before from this seller and they were packed better.     Very easy to follow directions

    You can’t go wrong with Eleanor Burns. Details are precise and easy to follow. She shows exact yardage, step by step instructions from wall hangings to king size comforters. Many layout designs. Help with colors. Too many tips to mention. A must for beginners and experienced quilters alike. You won’t be disappointed.

    excellent directions, arrangement blocks for patterns given, and great quilting tips

    This is one of Eleanor"s early books. She explains her "quilt in a day technique" with the basic log cabin square. She shows the quilter how many blocks are required for various sizes from wallhangings to king sized. She pictures the various patterns that can be achieved in the size quilt that is desired. Eleanor also gives numerous tips as the best standards in quilting. This was one of the first quilting books I purchased years ago. I misplaced my book an had to have another.

    Eleanor Burns has made the Log Cabin Pattern very easy and simple to do, all with just basic strips of fabric sewn together then cut to size (how simple). Eleanor Burns has added more color to this edition of the basic Log Cabin Pattern there are many design variations throughout the book which gives you many layout styles to choose from (such as Barn Raising, Furrows and a Beautiful Star layout). So, why not grab some fabric, cut to size your strips, sew them together, and cut them to size again. Using your book to follow the easy instructions can help you reach your goal of having a completed quilt.     Must have for beginners.

    This was bought as a gift for my niece, a budding quilter. This is the book I started with many years ago. Ms. Burns had a long-time show on PBS that was a must for quilters. This is the must have for the Log Cabin pattern.

    Buy the book even if you are experienced at quilting and especially if you are new at quilting.

    I liked it very much for its simplicity, easy direction and pictures which helps to explain the process. Although I knew almost everything about quilting before reading the book, I still found it informative and a good book.
