About this product

Product Information

Duck hunting comes to the Wii in this PC port from developer Collision Studios. Ultimate Duck Hunting puts a realistic twist on hunting games by inviting man's best friend along for the outdoor adventures. In addition to shooting ducks, players must train retrieving dogs in four essential commands: remote sit, left over, right over, and back. The Wii Remote provides more realism, with dog commands mimicking the hand signals sent by real-life hunters. The game is divided into five stages, set in six real North American waterfowl preserves. Scoring is determined not just by how many ducks are shot, but also by how many ducks are successfully retrieved by the dogs, and how quickly the dogs work. But man's best friend can get fatigued with too much running, and each dog has its own intelligence level based on the amount of training it has received, so strategy is important. Single- and multiplayer game modes are available.

    Doesn't work

My Wii couldn't read the disc so I can't play this game at all.

  • Good but not great

My nephew loves the game but I really am not impressed. I feel the game is very simple and could have explored a few more avenues to be exciting. It could have had more than 2 duck calls, possible identify what ducks are being hunted, take into effect some the federal limits, could also include other waterfowl such as geese and swans. This is just a few ideas I could think of. As I said before it is ok but nothing special about and I am disappointed in the game for the amount I paid for it.

  • Ultimate Duck Hunting

I purchased the game mainly for my husband and son to play. It's a good game but a little difficult at times. Getting the dog to go in the direction you want him to go to retrieve the ducks is a little hard and frustrating. They liked the game though and will probably keep playing until they get better at it. I think with practice it will get better. It is definately not for younger children. They would not like it at all.

  • Boring!

I bought this game because I wanted to try a shooting game for the Wii system. This game is totally boring. It takes a lot of patience to shoot and deal with sending the dog out to get the ducks. He has to be commanded to do so. Not only that its frustrating because you have to use all the controls on the controller and on the numchuk in order to play the whole game. The ducks are so far away that the calling noise to pull the ducks closer is annoying but it seems like the ducks fly more away from noise. I wasted 20 minutes in trying to get the game to work and I just turned the game off. Would not recommend to any of my famliy or friends.

  • Wii Duck hunting

There needs to be more places to hunt like the Mississippi River Delta or the Mississippi River Refuge in the mid west. More of a challenge in calling the birds in. More user friendly dog and retrieving can get hard when the bird falls behind an island. I would say the game is average and still fun to play but had not easily used right away.
