This summer I saw Al Gore's documentary "An Inconvenient Truth". As the ending credits were rolling, a hauntingly beautiful folk song played. I waited through the credits even longer to see who the artist was. The name of the song was 'Talk about Suffering' by Greg Graffin. I was mesmerized by the melody. Naturally, at my earliest oppprtunity, I got on eBay in the hopes of purchasing a copy of Greg's CD, which I did. What a great album !!! Now, I had no idea that Greg Graffin was the leader of the rock group Bad Religion. Upon listening to this CD, I just assumed this was a musical group comprised of authentic Appalachian folk artists. And if that were just the case, this album would STILL be a great achievement. It's beautiful, infectious, thoughtful, clever and slightly disturbing all at the same time. You must hear this album ! Even if you don't care for country or folk music, you will find something in this collection that will (literally) stir your heart. You won't be disappointed. Not even close. And what makes it particularly remarkable is that this comes from outside the box of Greg Graffin's world of dangerous, rebellious rock with Bad Religion. What talent ! What a cross-over ! What an accomplishment ! ...Now, I need to get back on eBay, purchase, and become more familiar with Bad Religion.Read full review
Excellent solo effort by a highly intelligent fellow. Greg pulls some amazing works from the past and stays very true to them while his vocal and slight variances bring a whole new life to these treasures. A geat recommendation for the Americana/Blues lovers out there. This stuff has some deep old roots.
Greg Graffin is amazing the guy can do no wrong! Great songs

Dr. Greg Graffin has once again made an album that can teach a great deal to people everywhere. The roots of American Music visited by a punk rock legend should be an inspiration to the punk community as well as people outside of that community to understand it is not all fast paced garbage, but rather an exploration of self, sound, and message.
love this album, much different than the usual bad religion sound. but the harmony and old folk sound to this is amazing. gregg is truly a talented artist lyrically and musically; he once again has impressed me with another album.
