The knives in this set appear to be well made and my experience with Henckels tells me that these knives will last a long time and will hold an edge very well. Occasional sharpening over time will not negatively affect their ability to hold a sharp edge. This set represents a great value. I am buying more to use as gifts.

They’re very sharp, but the stainless steel isn’t so stainless. It’s not so easy to make shine again after washing. First 2 pics are after washing 2nd two are after really bugging with a microfiber cloth

This is their Starter Set, admittedly of lesser quality than many of their other knives, and yet are still superior to many of the other knife sets on the market. The Henckels name is synonymous with reliability and quality, and this starter set does not disappoint.
