I'm 52 years old, and saw the film The Boys In The Band at my local theatre back when I 1st came out in 1970. I've always thought it was one of the best films ever made. It was Never given the attention it deserved, I think, I KNOW, due to it's subject matter, and the period in which it came out. If you remember, Stonewall was just a few months before its release, and in 1970 the LBGT movement had only just begun. I have seen this film more times that I can count, and every viewing I find fresh, extremely entertaining, engaging, funny, and heart breaking. Just a beautifully done film. I recommend it highly, and Hope you enjoy it as much as I have over the past 46 years.

While many will say this is very dated, it does reflect what it was like for gay people at the time, pre HIV days. as well as how much acceptance has changed over the years. Casting is great due that it is the same actors from the play. The commentary to this adds another perspective not only to the story but also to how society has evolved. Well worth the price, and for many viewings.
