    A Quality Tool

    The Irwin 13980 7" Insulated Combination Plier with Wire Cutter is exactly what you expect from Irwin Vice-Grips. In addition to these pliers I also have Irwin insulated needle nose pliers, insulated diagonal cutters, and my favorite automatic wire strippers. All are of excellent quality, the handles are comfortable in the hand and all jaws line up exactly. I use the pliers also for non-electrical applications. The three insulated pliers are VDE rated to 1,000 volts. I have yet to try them on a live wire to see if they work but I would be shocked if they didn't. (Sorry, I couldn't resist.)
