I was one of the rare listeners that liked Yoko Ono at the end of John's life. She has some talent and can write a decent song here or there. One problem that most people have with her is her voice. I know the Japanese vocal is different and for some, hard to get used to, but Yoko just plaine sings out of tune. Any recording artist has to have someone controling the final product and especially any pitchy parts of a vocal performance. Yoko needed that sort of help on this CD. Walking on Thin Ice is a masterful tune and those who knock Yoko can only wish they could write a song so good. I love John's work on the song and thats maybe what helped it be so good. I think Yoko should write songs for someone else to sing. An album was released with famous artists covering her songs, thats the idea she needs to stick to. I love ya Yoko, but singing out of pitch is not acceptable in todays fancy, gadget riddled studios. PS. why the heck did you have to sit in the studio when the Beatles recorded?Read full review
I loved this album. When Lennon was killed part of myself died. I am not only a Lennon fan but also a fan of Yoko's work. I know I am in a minority but I love Yoko.I have nearly all of her albums as well as John's.
