10 pounds of joy
I've purchased ten pounds (multiple listings) of this particular fiber blend and it is a true joy to dye and spin. I used assorted food dyes (Wiltons, Kool-aid, Easter egg dye tablets, food coloring) to do a variety of shades (set with acid). I have so many different colors now, and different weights of spun yarn. This wool can spin up thin or thick (or thick and thin) and while not as fine as Merino, it knits up into soft, warm garments - not too coarse, not too itchy, just right. My favorite shawl is a rainbow lace sampler made with this fiber. It is vibrant, cozy, toasty, wears well, has excellent stretch, and I'm not afraid to really use it. It also works nicely for wet and needle felting. I have a felted scarf, a few dryer balls, some felted slippers, and a needle felted toy duckling ...
