Centipede is one of the arcade classics that made Atari a household name in the 1980s. For the serious video game collector, Centipede for Atari 2600 is a must-have item. Players control a shooter at the bottom who must destroy a wave of centipedes trying to reach him. To reach the next level, the player must shoot each part of the centipede. While the centipede is originally in 12 pieces, as the player shoots it, the fragments, become smaller and more challenging to shoot. Players can control the game using an Atari joystick or trackball, which allows for more refined movement.

Great Game!
This was one of the best classic arcade games. This actually played very well on the atari 2600. Many games of the era did not translate to home systems very well. Centipede played very much like the arcade version and the graphics were pretty good as well. This is a great game to let kids play today to let them appreciate the games that helped form the games they know today. A lot of the Atari games are classics and this is one of the many of them.This was one of the best classic arcade games. This actually played very well on the atari 2600. This is a great game to let kids play today to let them appreciate the games that helped form the games they know today. A lot of the Atari games are classics and this is one of the many of them.

Classic Arcade style Centipede
This playstation I game is indeed a true to form arcade style version of the classic Centipede, same set up and functions as the arcade game from back when. Plus a bonus of a 3D version of the same game. Somewhat difficult to get the hang of and adjusting the screen shot views, but after some beginning difficulties one adjusts to this games lay out, and it's actually fun to play. So if your looking for a game that does have the actual arcade style gaming, this one fits the bill.This playstation I game is indeed a true to form arcade style version of the classic Centipede, same set up and functions as the arcade game from back when. Plus a bonus of a 3D version of the same game.
