I like this game but at most it's an 8/10 and I'm kind of being nice there. I get everyone loves this game and the story is good but naughty dog's best work is the uncharted series (4/thief's end for the PS4 is the best game of all time imo). It's story driven and similar to uncharted in some ways but the gameplay is more boring, slower, not as good voice acting, not as beautiful environments, not as immersive (like the crazy interactive cut scenes, no game beats uncharted in that) and not as well made blockbuster type story/experience compared to uncharted games (it's just a grand/epic movie like adventure that has it all and Nathan drake is the best lead a game could hope for) and the story is darker in tlou which I'm not saying is a bad thing cause i like dark stories, but the whole zombie apocalypse thing has been done too much (all the walking dead related things are better at it than tlou). Overall good game but definitely not perfect and this my personal opinion it didn't appeal to me the way it did to most, again 8/10. It's cheap now so it's worth trying/buying and who knows, maybe the second one coming out soon will blow me and everybody all away. Naughty dog is one of the best studios in gaming so everything they do is at least decent/good.Read full review

Check the reviews. Game has extraordinary amount of bugs with no fixes. Good luck trying for manufacturer replacement. You might get between an hour to three of game play. Seems to start acting up early in game play. They will tell you it's system issue but can remove and play any other games.

Great graphics, story, sound design, and challenging. It was the last truly great single player game of the PS3 console, and it did set the bar rather high - though PS4/XB1 consoles have largely not delivered better me thinks. Although for platformers, the somewhat quiet release of Puppeteer was tops of that genre, go get it if you havent played it. I found Last of Us compelling, engaging, and challenging, more than others of this genre. LOU is better than the Uncharted series, C'mon! In fact, I got stumped and replayed scenes a few times to get it right. I did feel some parts of the game can be frustrating, yet overall I found it extremely fun. Perhaps too scary for young children, and occasionally creepy at times for viscerally gifted adults. That said, it's way friendlier than horror genre games like Silent Hill or Resident Evil, so don't let a little thing like a pitch black room full of slinking, mushroom-faced monsters hold ya back. I had forgotten that I still have my PS3 Slim, and Last of Us (among other titles), so I will give it another go before selling it this holiday. You should be able to pick this game up now, 12/2019, for under 15, used. Puppeteer goes for like 23. If XB1 or PS4 is getting old (and it has for me), you could migrate to Nintendo Switch for a change (Ive so missed Mario Bros and Kart) - ack! that console holds its value tho, or revisit PS3 or even Wii very economically. Nothing will get my to repurchase a used Xbox 360 however lol bah humbugRead full review

The Last of Us is a modern masterpiece for modern gaming and set a high bar for single-player story driven games. The story, characters, gameplay and the tone is all top notch and Naughty Dog did a excellent job of crafting this piece of art in storytelling and character development. Get this on the PS3 or the PS4 heck get both of them and enjoy a solid tale of two people going on a journey through post future of America to discover the truth of the outbreak and themselves.
