Reviews
Rolling Stone (p.79) - 3 stars out of 5 - "[E]ccentric chamber-pop songs..." Uncut (p.98) - 3 stars out of 5 - "[A]t its best its an ambitious symphonic spree." Magnet (p.86) - "On the Melbourne band's quirky, exuberant second album, melodies pause, twist, turn and shift among two or three instruments..." Mojo (Publisher) (p.98) - 3 stars out of 5 - "[S]inger Cameron Bird's breathless squawk and the relentless...grinning intensity of it all bear the hallmark of an original visionary. It's the new sunshine pop, and it burns." Paste (magazine) - "[T]he band's impressive sophomore effort, IN CASE WE DIE, is just as beguiling for its silence as it is for its noise."
Additional information
The expansive line-up of Architecture in Helsinki includes many weird and wonderful instruments, creating a unique noise that has few peers in the contemporary music scene. The Australian band offers 12 tracks on this second album from 2002. Following up their ambitious 2003 debut just two years later with this similarly complex, challenging set, Australia's Architecture in Helsinki established themselves as purveyors of tongue-in-cheek prog-rock for people who shudder at the term. Witty lyrics playfully mingle with majestic melodies, voiced on an array of instruments--electronic, orchestral, standard rock--and vocal permutations. The band explores Sparks-infused punkabilly ("The Cemetary"), symphonic cabaret ("Nevereverdid"), slinky pop ("Maybe You Can Owe Me"), and multi-part song cycles that wink as they soar.

Totally as described like new in very careful double packaging. Accepted my offer and I feel like this was a great value. I’m SO grateful to this seller for having this exact shirt in my size as a dear friend from down below got me this shirt and it has since been ruined and I was heartbroken. - a***n (44)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseEverything went great from purchase and postage to delivery. The figure was very well packaged in a thick layer of bubble wrap and tissue paper before being placed in the postage bag. The figure was in excellent condition as stated. The photos with the description showed no chips or peeling on his suit or boots. His limbs move smoothly into running or standing positions. The figure was great value, another cool addition to a growing collection. Thanking you for a wonderful experience.
