Not the PS2 Version
I had high hopes that this would be a decent translation of the 2005 NFS: MW. Unfortunately, it's not. Maybe because it's a cartridge there's less room for data. I admit, I've never had good luck with driving games on a portable; something about the stick just isn't sensitive enough (like a console controller). I loved the ps2 version. This is like a stripped down version. Definitely don't recommend and am glad this was Used (i said YES to good value cuz it's not worth more than $10). Not like the PS2: Need for Speed Most Wanted game
I bought this game because I love playing Need For Speed Most Wanted on my PS2. So I bought it for my Nintendo DS hoping that the game would still be the same. Well for my luck, the game for Nintendo DS is totally different from the PS2 game. The graphic is different and I can't even just cruise the city if I wanted to anymore, all I can do is just play the blacklist races. Need For Speed Most Wanted for Nintendo DS is just another racing game now. It's not the game that I love to play so much back in the days. Word of advice: if you buy this game hoping it would be like the game for PS2 for XBOX then forget it. This game is nothing like those need for speed most wanted game. Pretty much your standard racing game, but fun
I'd say this is an enjoyable racing game by most standards. There is nothing special and the controls took a little getting used to but I have to say that after a half hour or so I was hooked. The racing is difficult but doable and it's always fun racing from cops. The first car they give you is pretty slow and clunky but once you get the Lamborghini Gallardo it's all over! There is no turbo boost, which I was expecting, but it's still a good, solid racing game.I'd say this is an enjoyable racing game by most standards. There is nothing special and the controls took a little getting used to but I have to say that after a half hour or so I was hooked. The racing is difficult but doable and it's always fun racing from cops. The first car they give you is pretty slow and clunky but once you get the Lamborghini Gallardo it's all over! Need for Speed Most Wanted for the Nintendo DS is a great racing game. I've won 1st place in every race available. I've added all performance upgrades to all 15 cars and have become the "Most Wanted" 1st place 100% completed. Great graphics, great controls, and challenging racing. It took me quite awhile to complete this game. At first you'll probably oversteer and smash into the walls a few times, but once you learn how to control the cars, you become very immersed in the game and have total control. Chase or Bumper Camera. Automatic or manual transmission. 15 Cars: VW Golf GTI (200 PS), Lancer EVOLUTION VIII, Lexus IS300, Lotus Elise, Ford Mustang GT, Mazda RX-8, Corvette C6, Subaru Impreza WRX STi, Audi TT 3.2 quattro, BMW M3 GTR, Porsche Carrera GT, Cobalt SS, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Ford ... The quickest way to get a bunch of cash is to: Race Chapter 8 Boss race with the Mitsubishi Eclipse, fill the Heat Meter, Double Down, and you should be able to smoke the cop by the second corner = 3000 upgrade points. Race Chapter 6 Boss race is fast cash too. The Mitsubishi Eclipse accelerates very quickly, but isn't nimble cornering.
