Excellent Knife Set
This is a really great set of knives. I was surprised at first by the lightweight handles, as I have become used to heavier sets, but upon using them I realized the weight is much more balanced than those I had been using before. Cutting with these knives feels effortless. Balance permits technique, and this set of knives demonstrates that well.

Cheap handles and NOT from Germany
These are not the same quality that I bought in Germany 15 years ago. And they ARE NOT from Germany. These handles look dried out and splotchy from the box. I thought they were going to be better after cleaning them. No. So I put olive oil on them and wiped them off. Its better but if I rinse the oil off and dry them they are chalky and splotchy again. Cheap knives
