Incredible Sound
I own a number of exceptional listening devices. One is a 30 year old pair of the original ER4s that have served me well. I read some good reviews for these ER4XRs and wanted something different for mixing down some drum files. I wasn't that impressed when I first put them in but, I know how the cone seals work and installed the larger ones and the music came so alive I was stunned. Everything literally came alive - the drums, keyboards, guitars, voices, the huge audience on this particular YouTube video I checked out. Everything I listen to is crystal clear, which Etymotic is known for but, that slight touch of extra low end frequency makes a really impressive difference. Great for neutral, detailed sound
Very detailed and neutral, XR version adds a slight base boost, but these are far from bass heavy. These will likely reveal details in your music you've never heard before.
