Was recognized by the Dell laptop. Came with approx 40% charge. Charged up to 100 % without issue. Have been using it for couple of weeks now with good battery life, no overheating, etc. I recommend this product.

Overall it has worked fine, and the price is certainly better than what you'll get from official outlets, but there were several red flags. First, was shipped illegally, as the packaging did not have the required labeling for sending a battery through the mail. Not a great sign. Second, the battery did not come with ANYTHING else- no tools, no instructions. I had to buy a separate screwdriver kit to open the computer and find YouTube videos about how to do the replacement. The battery itself seems to be working fine after installation. The computer booted right up after installing it, and I never got any error messages about using "unofficial" replacement parts. After several weeks the battery life is still several hours, which is a massive improvement from the 5 minutes I was getting from my old battery. Charging capacity seems to be capped at about 80% no matter how long I leave it plugged in, though. I didn't mind rolling the dice since my laptop is old, and even with these issues I'd say I've gotten my money's worth. If you have your own tools and are comfortable with the idea that you're not buying from an official source, it's probably worth the savings.Read full review

I received and installed the battery. It's appears to be a genuine Dell, it fit perfectly, and it was recognized correctly in the BIOS, which labeled it as being in "Excellent" health. I haven't tried checking anything in Windows but it appears to be a perfect OEM battery for less than half the usual price.
