A fun, low cost NES game

I don't think the graphics where all that great in this game but the game play is pretty good. It's more fun than I expected and a great addition to my NES collection.

I just finished playing this game for the first time. Aside from the fact that I am a retro video game collector and enthusiast, I had heard a lot of good things about this game up there in the legendary status as far as shooters go for the NES. Well, the gameplay is quite fun. I mean, it is a Konami game so I was expecting a lot. The music and sound effects are great (aside from the fact that sometimes the sound effects can't quite play over the music) and it's quite a challenge. You will have plenty of enemies thrown at you and you'll often have to make split second decisions, though like most space style shooters like this one, you play one level over enough times, you'll start to memorize certain things which will make your job easier. I know back in the old days games were a lot ...
