Fits perfectly, has a nice finish and seems constructed solidly, much better than stock. My only complaint is that you have to torque this thing VERY tight to get it to finally grip the splines so it doesn't move... I thought for sure I was going to break the bolt the last 5-6 turns.

If it holds on I would recommend it but it fit so loosely that I can not see it holding up long. The oem lever is snug fitting when bolt is loose and feels very solid. The tusk did not tighten up untill the very last pull on the wrench which I felt was over tightening the bolt to the point where i was anticipating it to strip. When on a long trip I will carry the original for peace of mind.

Nice shifter. Appears very well made and finished. Much nicer than the original Kawasaki shifter than seems crudely built in comparison. The TUSK shifter seems to be fabricated from an aluminum alloy with perhaps a powdercoat finish. Nicer than I expected and a real bargain at the price. I recently purchased a pair of TUSK panniers. Again, a real bargain and much nicer than I expected. TUSK makes good gear and sells it at very reasonable prices. They get my endorsement. I've been riding for 44 years, have ridden in 35 countries including one jaunt from eastern Europe, across Russia to Mongolia and back. When it comes to motorcycle gear, I know a good value when I see it. No need to pay inflated T****tech prices when you can buy good quality gear at a fraction of the price from TUSK.

It is slightly longer than the standard KLR lever and works just the same. I was hoping for a bit more length to make it easier to get my foot under it. I mounted mine slightly higher to help and it worked fine.

Honestly I didnt really need to upgrade the shift lever cause i never had an issue with it. So I bought this just because. But when i put it on and took the bike out, I was shocked what a few extra mm can do for convenience, much more comfortable to shift and you dont need to tilt your boot down as far to get under it at the same angle as my old shifter.
