    Great product, for 'reel'

    This electric cord reel is a 'reel' time saver. Storing an extension cord is a lot easier with this product. It has a convenient carry handle and is very easy to store. There's plenty of room on the reel for large extension cords, though I don't know if it will store a 150' cord. The only minor problem is that the handle for reeling in the cord comes close to the ground when the reel is resting on a surface, so you need to be careful. If the reel is held off the ground when storing your cord, there's no problem. All in all, I'm very pleased.

    Do Judge this book by its cover!

    The 150’ “Garden Hose Reel” on wheels is nothing of the sort. Instead, it is a small, plastic reel made (and poorly so, at that) for a heavy duty electrical extension cord. It is not in any manner useable for a garden hose...or any hose for that manner. As a reel designed for use as an electrical extension cord keeper (as explained to me by the seller AFTER I received it), it fails miserably. It is advertised that it will accommodate 150’ of heavy-gauge electric cord - if you can get it told more than 25’ without cracking, you deserve a Pulitzer Prize in commercially sold failures. I would certainly not recommend it as a garden hose reel, nor would I recommend it for an extension cord reel. As an object given to someone to mindless twirl the handle and pass the time, I’d give it 4 ...

    Good Value but not heavy duty

    I could give it a five star if I knew it would last a few years, for it is not heavy duty at all. Regardless of its seemingly light duty, it is what it is - and that is a reel with a large capacity, and it works well. The pliability and thinness of the plastic are bothersome, but, heck.......... at that price if I have to replace it every few years, I will. And it may be more rugged than it appears. Bottom line: I would still recommend, but probably not for commercial use.

    Use for thinner extension cords only

    Made of flimsy plastic. Doesn't feel like a heavy-use product. Meant for electrical cords 14 gauge and higher. Bought it to hold a 10 gauge extension cord, but cord was too thick to fit on this reel. Will hang onto it for a thinner cord I have.

    GREAT TOOL

    I ordered this reel due to a "YOUTUBE" video. I have another that works just as well. The video suggested that I bore a hole large enough to slip the plug through and then reel the balance of the cord onto the reel. That idea appealed to me so I did it. I can plug the cord in and then take-off just as much cord as I need, and not the whole cord. I use a 12 ga. cord, so I get my 5 footers on without a lot of room left over.
