The Rand McNally IntelliRoute TND 720 7 inch GPS is designed for professional truck drivers. The GPS comes with a windshield mount and suction cup, wall charger, vehicle charger, and USB cable. It also comes with other accessories, such as a hard case, dash mount disc, and sunshade. The Rand McNally company has made important contributions to the commercial transportation industry for over 70 years. The TFT HD widescreen on this GPS has a touch display and a rugged design. This GPS was upgraded from the previous model to include a brighter screen and louder speaker. When not plugged in, the device operates on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for one hour. This unit can display maps of the United States and Canada.You can set the display so that your entire highway route is in view while you’re driving. You won’t need to search through maps or take your eyes of the road. The breadcrumb trail option actually records and then displays the roads you have traveled. You can customize the warnings, which can alert you if you are outside a certain speed range. You can use this GPS to search for millions of points of interest for truckers, such as truck stops and weigh, service, and repair stations. You can also view route comparisons, mile markers, exit information, and customizable warnings, alerts, and dynamic weather updates. The address book can allow you to choose icons for display, and you can import addresses from your computer or other GPS devices via the Rand McNally Dock. The Rand McNally Dock also can provide map updates for a lifetime, truck specific software, and information on any construction areas along your route.You can place the IntelliRoute TND 720 in your truck so that it has a clear path to the sky. This way, tall buildings, steep hills, and mountains won’t block the signal. This GPS navigation system weighs 1 pound. The Wi-Fi connected services include a 3D map view in real time that shows traffic, weather, fuel prices, and a local search. You can choose to enable or disable the sound notifications. There is a fuel log program that tracks usage and purchases. The display can be colorful and easy to read at a glance. It estimates the amount of fuel you have remaining and the price you will pay at nearby stations. It even shows you the distance to the next truck stop. You can also take advantage of the mileage log and see your current odometer reading. This Rand McNally IntelliRoute TND 720 can even let you know if a nearby Wal-Mart allows daytime or overnight parking for truckers. There is an exit Quick View program that can locate other truck friendly spots off of upcoming exits. This Rand McNally GPS also has a video input for third party backup cameras. The map data program can calculate your route to geographical coordinates for the address book locations and points of interest you select. You can find your destination by plugging in an address, a zip code, or latitudinal and longitudinal coordinates.     works like new

    excellent drop in replacement for the one I broke during a temper tantrum when it sent me on a service road to go to a rest stop in texas. the replacement screen goes in easily, it was the 'B' model, and this seller specified to make sure you get the right model which would've created a headache for me if he hadn't specified and I'd bought the A model instead. new unit works like brand new, wouldn't even know i broked it if i hadn't broked it.

    Used GPS

    I paid a fair price for this used GPS with the mutual understanding the unit was in good working order. One week to the day I received it, the GPS malfunctioned then went dark permanently. The manufacturer wants $350.00 to "look" at it since I am not the original registered owner and the unit is way beyond warranty coverage. Super unhappy with the outcome of this purchase.

    A Big Plus for Truck Driver's, also for me with my boat & Camper

    Display is good, easy to use, I have a Magellen 7" that I bought 3 months before I knew I was going into Trucking, works fine but I love the Mile maker and speed,and upcoming turn arrow's, great feature's, Con's_You can't type in Point A to B to get a location that I can't find yet, Plus I got the one that's not the Newest so the Volume is not that loud, but Sense I'm a Trucker now,keep's me out of the Trouble area's like low bridge area's, and area's that you can't take truck's through. and at night driving with heavy fog,warns you of upcoming Cure's and steep downhills a Real Plus...Overall being a Trucker Now, I could request a few more good Idea's for this, Overall a B+

    Lots of bells and whistles without a dependable screen when needed

    I needed this to guide my big rig across the country without going into places I shouldn't be. Appaerently the gps can't know EVERY street and it wieght restrictions so you still need to be reponsible. I find the unit to be a bit overpriced for what you get and actually use. It has many special features that just clutter up the main screen. Even the sub screens are laborous to go through and much of the options are just there and are going unused. For example. The driver log is not to be taken seriously. It does keep track of time (driving and on/off duty) as long as you remember to change status. Lane assist is another upestting feature. I've missed my exit twice because the unit shows the lane assist screen so late in the manuever that the exit passed. It shows a black screen with ...
