    So Much Better

Love this ladder. I just wish there was a better way to weight it down in the pool. The big steps are great! Instructions suck!! But overall very glad I bought it.

Sturdy material but very wobbly design

It was not difficult to put together, except one part (the brace that goes on to connect the ladder and steps at the bottom). It was VERY difficult to put in place. There is a lot to do. It took my husband and I about three hours total. The tools required list called for all sorts of tools that are not actually needed. However, we used a rubber mallet to hammer things (gently) into place even though that was NOT listed as one of the needed tools. It made putting it together a lot easier. The material seems very durable and heavy duty. My main concern is about the way that the steps connect to the ladder. The only place that they actually connect are at the top of the handrail. The feet that are sitting on the top step in the picture LOOK like they are attached to the step but they are NOT. We have the ladder in the pool and the steps outside the pool. So, when you are climbing up the ladder, those feet move and slide around on the top step. It is very shaky. I'm not sure why they didn't pre drill a hole on each foot and step so that we could bolt them down to make them more stable. I had bought these so my parents could get in and out of the pool since the steps are easier to navigate than the A-frame ladder that came with the pool. However, this system is so shaky, they won't be able to use this either. I'm going to try to see if I can drill through the material and bolt the ladder feet to the steps to help it be more sturdy. Also, the ladder floats up so I'm going to also have to zip tie a couple of large containers of sand to keep it in the pool. If you are going in to the pool and the set up is like our, with the steps on the outside, it's pretty scary trying to climb down a floating ladder! This system is somewhat better that the ladder that came with the pool but not much. I currently use the old ladder to get in and then hold my breath while using this one to get out, thinking that the ladder is going to completely separate from the stairs while I'm at the top! They need to make the ladder attach to the steps for a better secure feel.

  • Terrible quality

This ladder system is not worth the price because it sways when you climb on it just like the cheapo ladders that come with above ground pools. Also, it does not have a very good weight system. they send plastic bags to put sand in and then you weigh it down in the pool with giant zip lock bags of sand. Not a very smart way since the bags bust open and get sand all in the pool. The hand rails at the top that are supposed to be sturdy are the weakest part of the ladder. As you are getting in the pol you have the same feeling like the ladder may fall apart at any moment, just like with the flimsy ladders that come with the pool. The stairs inside the pool are ok but they should be made with stiffer plastic because they bend inward when you step on them. Even when my kids step on them, who do not weigh much, they do this. Mine also came with missing parts. All the hardware and one of the supporting poles for under the stairs were missing. Overall, this is a mediocre ladder system, and for the price it should be of MUCH MUCH better quality materials. I am disappointed and the only reason I did not return it, I did not feel like dealing with the hassle of sending it back, plus our ladder was falling apart from use. My lose.

  • Very wobbly

It says it fits 48-52” pools but it is not adjustable. It’s for 52” pool, too tall for my 48” pool. I contacted the seller about adjusting it and they told me to refer to the manual and also there is no light on the step like the picture shows, the seller told me that’s not the one I ordered. But that’s what the pic showed. You have to screw the legs to the base or it slides. The railings are hollow and wobbly and the steps are extremely slippery, I slid and hit my shin stepping down out of the pool. Not good for my elderly mom. 😞

  • Very shaky!

This ladder seems to be made of good quality material, but the stability is terrible. Even for a small person to use it, it shakes & moves like crazy. We did use sandbags, but they are of very little benefit. Very scary feeling trying enter or exit the pool. Not worth the money we paid.

  • New found pleasure in my life

Before we got the ladder stairs it was almost impossible for me to get in the pool, even with a lot of assistance. Now I can get in unassisted and enjoy pool time with my grandkids. I am a stroke and brain aneurysm survivor which makes my life a little more difficult. Thank you for this new found pleasure.

  • Not what expected

Better than the ladders that come with the average walmart pools however steps bow under people's weight outside steps are very slippery when wet. It straps to the pool so u have some sense of security it's not going to fall over. Very hard to put together. You have to put several bags of sand to weigh the ladder down so it doesn't float up. I am glad i purchased it though once everything was said it done I just felt like it could have been stronger for the cost of the ladder

  • Good proce

Instructions are hard to read but watching the YouTube video made it easier. I don’t think they include enough screws for the step side. The bags they include for the sand leak all over. Overall it’s a good product and my kids love it! Shipped super fast!

  • They work

Not nearly as wobbly as the A frame stairs that came with our pool, but still has a bit of a sway when being climbed. Honestly just shocked they cost as much as they do for being 99.9% plastic and still only offering slightly more stability. That being said I would buy them again because they make accessing an above ground pool possible for people who find climbing average ladders difficult.

  • to light weight and not very useable

the ladder is hard to climb from the bottom rung to the next rung up once on the ladder their is no support from the hand rails ,if you fall to one side the hand rails fee like they will snap off and not a good Sucre feeling and the hand rail on the stairs is the same way ,not good
