Petz: Dogz 2 on PlayStation 2 features more than 40 breeds to adopt and over 60 activities to complete with your canine companion. Instead of just rearing your prized pup, the game features an adventure element with a fanciful storyline: a troublemaking wolf has pilfered a magic hat and is causing mischief on a peaceful island. The goal is to defeat the wolf and restore order in the world by completing various dog-related tasks, such as sniffing for items, digging them up, or "throwing" rocks to stun enemies. Of course, those who simply want to interact with their dog can do so in a number of ways. As in previous games in Ubisoft's popular Petz series, Dogz 2 supports an array of clothing, toys, and accessories to personalize your pooch. Football jerseys, top hats, pirate garb, glasses, neckties, ribbons, and other items are available to purchase. Racing and treasure-hunting mini-games are also included to play against a friend.

Wonderful
The game was a gift for my fiancé who played it as a kid and it absolutely lives up to the nostalgia. The game was packaged very well and arrived ahead of schedule.

Fun game
My kids really enjoy this game, and to be honest, I kinda enjoy it myself. I thought it would be a "Sims" type of game where you are caring for a pet and everything, but it is not like that at all. You can play two player races with your dogs, who you can personalize and name, but there is also a story mode which they really like as well. In story mode you choose and name your dog, and then you have to try to save "dogville" from the evil wolf villain who has stoled the magical hat and caused chaos on the island. It is challenging enough for them without being too hard/frustrating. I would recommend it for kids ten and under, although, like I said before, I enjoyed playing as well. Good game but too much reading for young children
I like the game play. I bought the game for a child who is just starting to read. There is a LOT of reading in the game which is frustrating for young children. Whould be nice with a voice option.

Pro: Easy game to play and rated E for everyone. Con: Game is in Chinese and no English at all. So makes you guess at what you need to do but fairly simple to figure out. Overall: Highly recommend this game for kids 5 and older.

I love this game! My doughter loves it! great game for kids .. teaches them problem solving skils! not to mention all those cute puppies! cute outfits! helps with reading! and keeps kids out of trouble with no violence, cussing , blood or gore!
