    Dan Brown’s novel, and the subsequent film are both blockbusters. The question is – is the book / movie strictly fiction? Or are they largely factual? Traditional Christianity holds that Jesus was never married. Yet there are even some hints in the New Testament that this might not be the case. If Jesus was married – who was his wife? Some people believe that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene, and that they had one or even three children. Brown’s book develops this theme, and goes on to contend that the chalice that Jesus used at the Last Supper, and may have also been used to catch his blood on the cross (think Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade) is NOT the “Holy Grail”, rather Mary Magdalene, she who carried the bloodline of Jesus is the Grail.
