    The product itself is very well made, but is not an “Aerogarden Seed Starting System”, it is a knock off. The original listing, which I responded to stated that “it comes with seeds, grow sponges and a users manual”, which is not true. When I contacted the seller he was unwilling to offer any reduction in price, and did not take any responsibility for the misleading listing. He has since removed the inaccuracies in the description, and now calls it a “clone”, which is certainly more accurate.

    While we're glad you found the product well made, common sense says AeroGarden no longer offers this part—it's clearly a custom alternative, as shown in the photos. The original description was AI autogenerated by eBay and has been corrected. Nothing in the listing ever showed seeds or sponges. It's disappointing to see such an ungrateful review, especially from someone just looking for a discount.
