Optane: the hype is actually justified
The legend of Optane is true! It's... not cheap... but it is truly WD-40 for Windows OS and application smoothness. If your most uncompromising performance metric is system latency and PCIe 3.0 x4 isn't a real bandwidth issue, the 905p just might be for you. I was convinced after watching Wendell at Level One Techs extoll its virtues on YouTube and the hype is real. System stutters, application launch hangs? GONE. It's also a long-term investment: at 10 DWPD rating, this may be my C: Drive for the next ~8 years.
