Futuristic arena combat takes another step into the console realms with this second edition of Unreal Championship for Xbox. Though retaining the fast-paced shooter combat and focus on multiplayer competition that won fans for the original, Liandri Conflict adds new features that expand the basic gameplay, in a decidedly gamepad-oriented fashion. Players can now fight up-close-and-personal, with new melee attacks, and perform super-human leaps and dodges, which are accented in the game's optional third-person perspective. New offensive and defensive Adrenaline powers are also in the mix, adding opportunities for fresh tactics and action. The maps in Unreal Championship 2 are designed with these new features in mind. The single-player game comes in two separate, area-based campaigns, but online multiplayer support remains a key feature of the title, offering a wide variety of match types, for up to eight human competitors, through the Xbox Live service.

An exciting new take on the FPS
This game is not a typical First-Person-Shooter. This game effectively employs the use of melee combat into the FPS formula for a fresh new taste of gaming. It retains a wonderful taste of Unreal action, but also invokes a much more personal level of combat, which adds meaning to who exactly you are fighting. The graphics are spectacular, the gameplay is balanced, and the levels are well thought-out. What more can you want from this game?This game is not a typical First-Person-Shooter. Different Format, But Addicting
When you get the open titles you think to yourself, this is a Unreal game? But once you play through the single player mode and unlock certain characters, it feels more like a Unreal game. While the overall format of the game has changed, it is still a spin-off of Unreal Tournament. 3rd person view seems to be the thing that this game has advertised the most and for good reason, it's that good. Along with the melee attacks and Coop de Graces you can do. In Story Mode, you can play through the Ascention Rites and play as Anubis who is trying to stop his former psycho girlfriend from being empress. The story is short, but fun. You can also go the tournament as each character and play from their point of view. And you have the Challenges, which are very difficult, where you start from ... The character selection in UC2 is small, but character has personal adrenaline moves and taunts. Perhaps what makes the game overall so addicting is it's gameplay, even playing instant action against the bots for countless hours can be fun, but the online play is where it really pulls you. You can download new items such as maps, new outfits, and more. All in all, Unreal Championship 2 is a very good addition to the Unreal series, and it's looks like it didn't wear out its welcome at all.

I own an Xbox 360, and even though they make great games like call of duty 4, or assassins creed.. I couldn't pry myself away from buying this Xbox classic. This game is one of the best multiplayers out there. The game gives you the decision between first and third person shooter, has an incredible adrenaline system, and also has for the first time unreal melee attacks. Overall I would rate this game 9.5/10. The only thing it is lacking.. Is the ability to play over xbox live for the 360.. Other than that I would HIGHLY recomend this game! It's a nice melee shooter game while awesome packed gore and speed while the game motion is really fast. Too great for a regular XBOX game and it's backwards compatible for Xboxone. Love the insane action it contains.

Great follow up to the first game. this new game has melee mode which turns from 1st person shooter to 3rd person. The 3rd person does take some getting used to. Overall this is a pretty good game. lots of blood and guts.
