    Low temp alloy to make your repair life easier

    Calling all tech's! Have you ever had that stubborn amplifier that has tight fitting TO247 transistors that you can't seem to get out without a lot of iron time and when you do get it out you see the board via pad on the transistor leg? Oops! Another via repair. How about those SMD IC's that absolutley hate heat time. Cough, cough some half bridge drivers. Well here is the trick to avoid timely and costly via and IC damage. Using this low temp alloy along with some flux will allow you to use the absolute minimum heat needed. Notice the word FLUX. How about those stubborn class D driver cards? Same method can be used here also. This aloy mixes well with the lead-free solder used on most amplifiers today. You have to give a little time for it to mix together to get through the via's.
