Utilizing its experience in developing Major League Baseball titles EA Sports changes direction to develop a baseball game that is set among the ranks of the NCAA.<br><br>College baseball features aluminum bats that can produce deep hits, as well as the sought after "ping" from the bat after making contact. Combined with all new swing types, players will have complete control to either protect the plate or swing deep for the fences. Also included are 128 universities from all of the top conferences, as well as 19 ballparks including Rosenblatt Stadium, home of the NCAA College World Series. <br><br>The right thumb stick controls both the intensity of the players swings at the plate and the precision and strength of their throws. At the plate, gamers use the right thumb stick to first load their backswing and then fire through the strike zone at the right moment. On the field, gamers use the right thumb stick to control the intensity and accuracy of their throws, whether firing one to home plate or gently tossing the ball to first base.<br><br>The enhanced Creation Zone feature allows for a more personalized experience where players can build a college program from the ground up, while the Custom Ballpark feature allows players to adjust the heights and distances of the stadium walls. Players may also choose between NCAA Rules and Summer Rules, in the latter using wooden bats instead of aluminum.<br><br>Regardless of the style of play, calling the action from the virtual broadcast booth are the voices of ESPN announcers Mike Patrick and three-time All-American pitcher Kyle Peterson.

    mvp 06 NCAA Baseball

    I bought this game because I love my Wichita State Shockers baseball. Why there are a ton of teams that have better stats than us, I have no idea, especially on pitching! Anyways, what I've noticed is that the baseball video games are insanely harder than the football games, even EA Sports games. ESPN 2K5 Football is a great, fairly easy to learn game. This game is TOUGH! Do not think you will sit down in an afternoon and become fairly good because you can't. This is pretty much like real ball. You have to learn to pitch and it's hard to figure a strike because the umps do not give corners. You have to learn to hit and the aluminum bat hit is a lot different than the wood bat hit. But if you are looking for a fairly realistic, gameplay, not looking, game then you are in the right ...

    Good 1st College Baseball Game

    I thought EA could have put a little more into the game, but for a 1st go around they did well. I've yet to see the game lock up, which is always a major plus for any disc operated system. The gameplay is excellent, graphics are ok too. There's a ton of stats and other tasks that coincide with season/dynasty play as well as a few mini games that are fun as well. It's well worth the price and I've enjoyed every minute I played it.

    i finally can not put down a baseball game!!!!

    i have never been able to play a baseball game for very long. i get bored to easily. with MVP 06 on the other hand i am addicted. i am actually playing a season and can not stop playing. the new controller for batting is hard to catch on to at first but gets to be fun. i havent played a baseball game in about 3 years and alot of the stuff on this game was new to me. i do not play online so i dont know how good it is online. the computer is tough to play against, i cant win every game, even on JV difficulty. the game is also only 30 bucks and i got it for 20 here on ebay. i like using college players better than professional, just like i dont like playing madden football anymore, i have to play NCAA Football. so if you are into MLB then this may not be for you but if you like college ...

    good game online could be a lot better

    the game is like the usual mvp game. but for some reason they made some different controls and made it a lot harder. even though you can pick wats different but on online play u cant. when i was playing i didnt know had to swing! it was very hard and i tthink ea sports should make it a lot better -------------BradJust45
