    It's NOT really a BoomBox

    If you're looking for deep hard hitting bass, don't expect much from this "boombox". If you're looking for a radio to use in a small room WITHOUT deep hard crisp bass, this radio is great. The radio has great features. The radio is fairly priced. The bass button only gives a subtle addition of bass. It leaves you craving for more. The volume of the radio is not very loud; not as loud as you are probably expecting it to be. This is not the type of "boombox" that you want to bring to a party. However, it is sufficient to use in small areas or areas where there is not much noise. The radio satisfies my needs, but I'm still craving bass.

    Moderately Sized Media Player

    This Sony media player does a decent job of playing from a USB flash drive and CD. It is not a good radio, at least not where I live. The Bluetooth works well. The "mega bass" is a gimmick that Sony thought might make this average player a little above average. It fails! One can barely tell the difference when it is in the mega bass mode and when it is not. The unit has a few quirks too: there is no back light on the read out, making it difficult to see, also it would be nice when there no power to the plug that the batteries would take over, but you have to unplug the power cord from the player for the batteries to work. It would also be nice if when the USB drive was plugged in it would start playing but you have to hit the play button after selecting the USB mode. The sound quality is ...

    Cool Boom Box

    Sounds great and easy to use. Has lots of features like being able to tale CDs and put them on thumb drive with one button. Has three favorite buttons on top in front that are easier to use than the pre-sets that it also has. I love Bluetooth, no more wires everywhere. Just great though a little large for today's standards and kind of fragile because of being so large. Antenna is not heavy duty, can break easily so take care. Battery door also could use better catches.

    Good Sound For Small Size

    Purchased as a Christmas gift for my 12yr. Sound is good, not great. It's ideal for what I want it for, good sound, but not to loud. This is not the type of 'boombox' that you can hear through out the house. Mega Bass makes a subtle difference, nothing to brag about. No BOOM! CD player works fine. BT connects easily to my Android. Radio picks up stations well and sounds good and I'm in a bad reception area. Antenna seems sturdy and durable. There's no static play at any volume or when switching functions. Max volume is not very loud, but sounds good. No distortion. Carrying handle is sturdy and secure. (Honestly, if they took the Mega Bass out of the title, it could get 5 stars. But Mega Bass it's not.)

    Sounds better than expected..

    Nice little unit that sounds much better than I expected..will not provide enough volume for large areas but perfect for a single room..I would have given it 5 stars but the multi function operation buttons are very confusing especially when trying to use replay, shuffle functions. The instruction manual leaves a lot to be desired. Once I got the programming (USB drive on shuffle play) I was very happy with the sound quality...
