The item appears new as described; however, it would have been nice to have been told by the seller that the box was very damaged, especially when the picture indicates that it isn't so bad. I had told her that this was going to be a housewarming gift, so letting me know that the box was completely torn at the top would have been a common courtesy. Fast shipping.
