    I Needed To Convert 2x-SDI to HDMI

    I often have the need to QC or troubleshoot cinema DCP files for film festivals. Rather than spend long nights in a cinema or private screening room, I wanted to do this at home, sipping coffee & in my pajamas. I acquired my own digital cinema server (Doremi-DCP200) but I needed a way to convert its' Dual Link SDI output to HDMI so I could connect it to a monitor. The AJA Hi5-3G works like a charm! Easy to set up, pretty much "plug & play", but there is also a very useful GUI in case you wish to alter settings. I had earlier tried a cheaper solution, but there was some image instability and loss of quality, so I started shopping around for other converters I have used several other AJA converter & encoder devices in my line of work, and although a bit pricey, IMO they are worth every ...
