Not up to the hype...
After all the hype I'd read online - and the sudden disappearance of this product from the marketplace - I was glad to find they were available again..... but - I was very disappointed with the actual product I received. It appears to be cheaply made. The belt clip on mine was loose right out of the package. The bit extension has a sloppy fit and the magnet that holds it in place is weak - I'll bet it will be quite easy to loose the extension if you're not careful. I have read that the Kobalt version is more stout - but they are not currently available. Of course, there is the Big Idea Design titanium version (on which the Steelman and Kobalt brands are based)..... but, for its exorbitant price tag - you could buy a really NICE set of high-end drivers. I do repairs on industrial machinery and have gone through quite a few different multi type screwdrivers and tools over the last 30 odd years i've been doing this kind of job. I originally got this tool from when it was branded as a kobalt tool. It has become my trusted most favored tool for the last several years. I carry a small box with me full of bits for it and it covers me for just about every repair that comes up. From screws to hex heads to sockets (using an adapter) it does it all better than any multi screwdriver i've ever owned. Kobalt stopped carrying them and i've been searching on an off for them ever since. Just found them here. I loose tools kinda frequently so I've been kinda paranoid about losing this. Glad I found it again. This time i'm buying 5 of them just to ...
