please see the pictures in the listing, the knockouts were indeed intact and there were no signs of previous use. you paid on the evening of April 6th item was packed then and dropped off to the carrier on the morning of April 7th. Yes as I told you in our communications that we offer 30 day returns if your unhappy with your purchase please return it for a full refund.

A decent phone, with one whopping flaw
We installed a base station and five wireless phones in a medium sized office a month ago. So far, they have worked very well, with great reception and coverage. One can go a flight down and walk outside -- in the middle of a city -- and still make calls. Phones are a bit like cars, in that each manufacturer's line-up of products has a certain feel that is not easy to describe. These phones are very Panasonic-like, for whatever that is worth. There is one enormous interface issue, as others have mentioned. The phone has no speed dial, making the internal phone book difficult to access.
