    Good & good looking

    Good match between photo (expectation) and product received. Bowl bottom has noticeable concentric grooves (like an LP) ...don’t know if this is an imperfection or a feature. This is my first M & P set. Works great to prep saffron for rice.

    PLUS AND MINUS

    PLUS: The finish is beautiful. MINUS: Except in the bottom of the bowel, which is rough, and can stain. PLUS: The shape is nice. MINUS: The base is very narrow, so it can rock over when using, it unless you hold it steady. PLUS: The grinding end of the stick is large which is good for grinding: MINUS: The top of the grinding stick is sharply flat making it painful to the palm when grinding. (It's not long enough to hold the stick in your fist so you have to keep the top of the stick in your palm, and that's how it gets uncomfortable when applying pressure.) PLUS: The size is adequate for up to a table spoon of spices. I like it.

    Small and cute

    The mortar is small and well made as expected. It did come with a minor defect (chipped on the bottom of the exterior). I can live with that since it is on the bottom. The pestle is in pristine conditions. Overall a good product.
