Great rod for casting light lures
Affordable price and a quality rod, this rod will cast light lures and is strong enough to land large size freshwater fish. Few casting rods at this price point are able to perform this job. I have quite a few Lighting Rods some over 30 years old and still working as well as the day I bought them. Berkley tackle is good affordable fishing equipment for money spent. You do not have to spend hundreds of dollars on often-overpriced rods and reels to enjoy fishing. If you think, using fancy fishing equipment catches more fish you are sadly misinformed. It just makes anglers look better while not catching fish. Affordable price and a quality rod, this rod will cast light lures and is strong enough to land large size freshwater fish. Finally, I can stop searching for an UL Baitcast rod
Paired it with a Shimano Calcutta 51XT. and all I can say is NICE!!!! Loads of fish later and I am not disappointed. Moderate Action provides plenty of bend and yet loads of backbone. Well balanced, and affordable to boot. Can't complain except that I don't have enough time on the water.
