Good condition, but came with old dying battery.
Seems to function normally, but appears to have come with a near-dead battery. Not in the charge amount sense, as in it doesn't hold a charge after being charged for 2 hours. The listing mentions it functions well, and shows the backlight on while it's disconnected from the charger, but in my case turning the backlight on while it's still plugged in, or even just using it normally brings up a battery warning and the iPod shuts off. A good choice if you want a simple MP3 player with a few extra options.
Being a somewhat obsolete design, you can't really expect much in terms of features or design. And being used, its battery life will always be reduced when compared to a factory-new product. I bought the product to use in my car, which has a cable for connecting the Apple USB Connector to my car's head-unit. However, the head-unit doesn't recognize the iPod Mini 2 gen. like it does my iPhone 4, so the purchase was somewhat of a waste. Good sounds are backward compatible.
Having already experienced the latest that Apple has to offer, I am not impressed with the older version, however, for the technology it is quite adequate. The only exception is that screen is very hard to read in bright light. This product has a limited range of uses, but the quality of workmanship is very good and the quality of sound is quite surprising.
