About this product

Product Information

One of the longest waits in cinema history was the fifteen year span between RETURN OF THE JEDI and STAR WARS EPISODE ONE - THE PHANTOM MENACE. This documentary follows the preparatory hype train for PHANTOM MENACE as it rolls through a convention, nationwide tour, and a gala event that includes movie stars and anonymous actors cloaked in robot costumes. The fanaticism and geekdom is on display as well as an insight into a promotional juggernaut.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This seller was great. I had some questions because my package was late (100% post office fault) and this seller went above and beyond to help me figure out the best course of action in finding out where my package was. Even went out of their way to personally message me to let me know the tracking had finally updated. Will absolutely save this seller for the future and buy from again.

  • What were YOU doing in May of '99?

The part that makes this movie really good, is the fact that it really depicted what I was doing/did in 1999. A lifelong Star Wars fan, I was waiting in line for my tickets in costume! I went to the 'Midnight Madness' events for the Episode 1 toy launch. In short, I waited for hours to experience the Event of A Lifetime. The part that makes this movie not so really good is that it has been done before. Movies like 'Star Wait' depicted the very same goings on (and in a few cases) the very same fans. A little neato, but a lot of deja vu. If you are like me, then go ahead and buy it, watch it, and file it into your DVD collection next to the Star Wars discs just to say you've watched it. If you aren't like me, then it is a movie you could easily pass up for better ones. - apadim
