Just what I needed
Galco's StukOn-U pocket holster SOU158B is a perfect fit for my S&W 640-3 Centennial .357 magnum revolver. The holster weighs practically nothing. The outer surface of the holster has a tacky, rubberized coating that grips the fabric material of the pocket; so much so, that removing the holster from a pants pocket can pull the pocket inside out. The holster interior is smooth for a clean, low drag, snag-free draw and completely covers and protects the trigger. The craftsmanship and stitching is good quality and the material looks to be durable and capable of long service. The open muzzle end prevents debris accumulation inside the holster The holster is soft, padded, and very comfortable when sitting. The holster breaks up the gun profile, especially when sitting, so it doesn't print its outline through pants. I recommend wearing pants of a darker color to help further hide the small bulge of the gun & holster. I find that Dockers, chinos, and cargo pants work best for pants pocket carry. The holster exterior will collect pocket lint but the holster is easily cleaned by dry brushing or wiping a moist cloth over the holster's outer surface. The holster keeps the gun oriented in the upright position so the grip is right there for immediate, hands-on access. A short, rounded tab of material is incorporated behind the trigger guard to grab the rear or bottom of the pants or coat pocket, along with the tacky surface material, preventing the holster from popping or falling out of the pocket with the gun. The holster is completely ambidextrous for right or left-hand draw. With practice, a well-executed standing pants pocket draw is fast, efficient, and can make the gun appear in my hand like magic. With coat pocket carry, my shrouded hammer revolver can be accessed and fired inside a coat pocket without drawing from the holster. (I haven't actually live-fired the revolver from a coat pocket. I just practiced dry-fire from several different coat & jacket pockets). It's an unfortunate but necessary evil in today's violent society to carry a firearm. However, as I get older, for some of the circumstances where I need a comfortable, convenient, and discreet firearm carry method, this holster is exactly what I was looking for.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
