A fabulous ride in a time machine.
Barry Manilow's "Singin' With The Big Bands" is an absolute gem and one of my alltime favorites. The formula was very simple: big band nostalgia hits using the original arrangements with today's recording technology and performed by Manilow with the original orchestras of Glen Miller, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Bunny Berigan, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Harry James, and Les Brown. Bringing Back Memories.
This is another must have from Barry. His voice is so smooth on this cd. He makes you feel you are back in time with this music. As he sings, and you hear the insruments in the background, you can visualize that you are sitting and watching him sing. His voice is made for this type of music.

Singin' witht he Big Bands by Barry Manilow
If you love Big Band music this project is for you. Barry sings with the original orchestras and compliments the music perfectly. When I listen to it I am transported back to my childhood when my parents would listen to these original recordings and dance around the kitchen. If you appreciate this style of music, this project is for you. I encourage you to add it to your collection.
