The active constituents in green tea are polyphenols with an antioxidant called epigallocatechin-3-gallate EGCG, being the most powerful one. The antioxidant activity of EGCG is about 25-100 times more potent than vitamins C and E. One capsule of Life Extension Mega Green Tea Extract is lightly caffeinated and contains 98 percent green tea extract which is standardized to provide high potency EGCG. It also provides 200 mg of polyphenols and has antioxidant effects. Likewise, green tea extracts have been shown to absorb 60-90 percent better into the bloodstream. It has many other benefits like displaying protective effects on brain tissues, enhancing immune function, and possible amount of weight loss. The botanical extract in Life Extension Mega Green Tea Extract has been concentrated and dual standardized to ensure the highest quality, consistency, and biological activity.
