    CASEY STENGEL - The Old "Perfessor"

    The 1951 Bowman baseball card of CASEY STENGEL is high quality. Bowman utilized photographs taken at the ballpark, which were mostly black & white. They then turned their art department loose making the small cards full color by tinting the appropriate areas with the correct shades. This card is well centered, has equal borders, and matches the way CASEY STENGEL looked. CASEY was hired to manage the NEW YORK YANKEES in 1949 and proceeded to win five straight A.L. Pennants, as well as 5 straight World Series Championships. He managed the Yanks for 12 years, going to the World Series 10 times, and winning 7 World Championships. This photo captures his confidence and his thought of who will pitch the ninth inning. A HALL of FAME Member at a bargain price.
