Great hatchet for camping or hicking
This item was recommended to me by a friend, I normally carry a hatchet made by Gerber that is lighter then this hatchet but was harder to use as it's head has less mass, Always a trade off when hiking and that is when I decided to try this as I normally use an ATV now and can carry something with a bit more mass but still something I can hook to a back pack or my belt, this hatchet has a riveted plastic holster that works well, one snap to remove or put back on and makes easer work for clearing an obstacle or making a camp fire. One thing that sets this apart is the well made handle with a ceramic striker in the bottom of the handle that makes gathering and starting a camp fire in one robust tool. it can also be used as a hammer as it has a textured striking face on the back end of the ... Great all around tool
Im am Very happy with my New camping Axe, splits wood great, and they new hard sheath is a great improvment over the nylone sheath it used to come with , light weight (just over 1 lb) and very comfortable to hold and use. For the price you really can not beet the quility.
