The shield is designed smaller, with shorter grip and ships with extenuation grip magizine. You need this add on extension for any extra after marker type basic magazine.. a design requirement.

I am disappointed in pearce with this product. It is flimsy and i do not trust it for regular use. The plate is held in place with a 1/32 piece of plastic that flexes with light pressure. If that piece was sturdy, this would be a great mag extension

Needs better quality.
Needs better quality. The extra capacity and ergonomics are great with this extension. Only a bad review because the little plastic tab the keeps the baseplate from sliding off the magazine is flimsy, and failed on my magazine.

Excellent Item to increase magazine capacity without the bulkiness of extended magazines. 2 additional rounds for the 9mm and 1 additional round for the 40 sw. It's great for those with larger hands. They allow for better grip and control of your firearm. The magazines don't take away from concealment. They are durable and they function well.
