Doesn’t fit over the band of my M44, 91/30 or type 53 Mosin. The hole needs to be at least 3/16” larger in order for it to hit the front sights.

You should have read the description in the listing, here is the part you missed." This tool only works on the 91/30. If you have any other variant of Mosin Nagant do not order this tool. This tool will NOT work with the M91, M44, M38 or the T53."I really suspect that what you think is a 91/30 is another version since you say the hole is too small for it. The 91/30 does not have a band where the front sight is attached, so this tells me all I need to know about the fitment issue.
