    EXACTLY what I needed!

    I'm slowly but surely adding power tools to my shop. I needed a dust collection system but the cost of a "real" system isn't in my budget..... especially since I'm a one-man shop running one tool at a time. I wanted a powerful vacuum unit that I can eventually tie into my own DIY pvc piping system. This RIDGID 6HP, 14GAL unit is perfect since it is missing all the parts I DONT NEED! I tested it after I received it (just to check that it worked). This thing has WAY more than enough suction capability than I hoped for. Now I just have to layout and install my piping and then sawdust all over my shop will be GONE.

    Ridgid Shop vac 14 gallon 6.0 peak hp.

    Power GREAT! I would like a 1 1/2" X 20" hose for vacuuming. I have one for which I am afraid labors the motor - - not good. I may try to engineer some kind of relief system to allow for using the smaller hose. The 14 gallon tank has a low center of gravity there fore doesn't tip easily. That also is a + +.
