    Good mic stand for the money!

    This is a sturdy, well bit microphone stand for the money. It has a solid base, which provides good stability. If there is one thing that I don’t like is that the tension nut is made of plastic. I’m hoping it holds up well.

    Just an okay product

    Unfortunately, this mic stand only just cuts it and nothing more. It appears that it will last a long time and the clutch seems good - definitely a positive. I haven't used it long enough to see if the critical parts will be durable. But aside from that - 1- the stand is extremely difficult to screw into the base. As others have noted in reviews I've seen, part of this problem is because there is paint in the threads on the base (should have tapped the hole after painting), but even with grease to lubricate the parts, I just could not thread the stand in more than halfway. 2- the three hard rubber pads on the bottom of the base are not sufficient to keep it from tipping when a boom is attached, even when not fully extended and only holding a light mic (such as a Sure SM57).     Lightweight - Tips Over - Very Cheap! base is hollow

    Lightweight. Tips over easily. The cast iron base is hollow, so it's actually not very heavy and will tip over pretty easily. *Warning: Do not attach a heavy mic!* Cannot recommend it. Not worth it.
