And what you're supposed to use is torx head bolts? I stripped out that bolt in the center. Tried to reinstall the original, stripped the threads on that bolt. Original tailgate can't be reused because it hits and damages the new shock adsorber for the tailgate. removed all the kits bolts and was lucky enuf to find a one. Wasted two hrs. dealing with kit. Recommend not to buy.

As to the part I have bought a similar product for my other truck, these things are a great add on. For this one I’d say it just ok at best the retaining clip is kinda of cheesy and surly will fail making this part useless. My advise is (you get what you pay for keep looking for a better quality part. I’m not unhappy when the purchase just disappointed in the quality of the part. To the seller no offense just being honest.

I recommend this seller, they had more parts I needed.
