    I am thankful this part is available new, amazing! Detected leak in the UP Sat and ordered that night in the motel. Delivered in time for me to for me to install downstate during the week and was back UP riding the next weekend. Installed easy with no leaks in use. I would have been happy to pay a few extra cents for a more substantial O ring.

    WATERPUMP

    THE WATERPUMP LOOKED LIKE THE ORIGINAL. WENT TO INSTALL IT, THE ORING THAT SEALS IT TO THE BLOCK WAS TOO BIG. HAD TO FIND ANOTHER ORING THAT WOULD FIT PROPERLY. AFTER GETTING IT INSTALLED IT IMMEDIATELY STARTING LEAKING COOLANT WHILE FILLING THE COOLING SYSTEM. HAD TO PULL EVERYTHING BACK APART. FOUND THAT WHEN THEY WERE ASSEMBILING THE PUMP, THE ORING SEAL FOR THE COVER WASN'T SEATED CORRECTLY AN WAS CRUSHED. HAD TO REUSE THE OLD ORING FROM OLD PUMP. NOW IS ALL SEALED UP AN WORKS AS IT SHOULD.

    Polaris 580/600 monoblock water pump

    Have'nt actually started the engine it's on. It's awesome that someone has provided us with an obsolete Polaris part an to top it off it is only slightly more expensive then a salvage water pump that's 20 years old and sells for $100-150. Thank you Terry for giving us the ability to continue loving our outdoor winter sport for many more years on our vintage equipment.

    Was very happy to find a company that makes these water pumps

    Probably like most people who have ordered this water pump, Polaris no longer makes these, which only leaves very limited options. The bearings on my wife's sleds water pump(98 polaris xlt classic)pulley went out, who knows how long ago, as we just recently purchased this sled. When I was checking the water pump, I was able to wiggle the pulley side to side and up and down, with the belt still being on, at which point I could see coolant coming out.The new water pump was delivered today and I gotta say, it feels better built than the oem one that I took off. It installed really easily(other than trying to get the belt on at the same time), thankfully. Tomorrow I'm going to put it all back together, use my chain hoist to lift the front end a foot or so off the ground and burp the cooling ...
