This game rocks. Plays just the way I remember it! Got together with some buddies of mine, plugged in a multi-tap with 5 SNES controllers, and we had a BLAST. Five humans on a team vs the computer? Awesome. This is the quintessential hockey video game from the 16-bit era and a must-have for any sports enthusiast and/or SNES collector. Play alone, play with your friends, either way you will love the warm and fuzzy feeling of the 90's that this game brings.

I bought this recently after playing tons of NHL 96 growing up. The difference is significant. Gameplay is far more realistic. The computer actually goes back door for one timers. The goalies are solid but fair. All in all just a wonderful game.

In 1994, EA sports decided to produce an NHL game for the SNES...And little did they know it would still be the best hockey game ever created. Everything is great about this game. It's not like the ones today, where you know at the top of the right circle you know you can always score with a wrist shot, and there's no glitches that causes players from center. It seems that as the years have progressed, only the graphics improved about hockey games. NHL 94 is overall a great game. If you own a SNES and are a hockey fan, there is no reason why you shouldn't have this game. The gameplay is great, the checks are huge, and the playmaking and one-timers are amazing. Truly the best hockey game still today.
NHL 94 is my favorite game from the childhood, thank you
