As a comic fan, I adore having this game in my collection to show off to friends at parties. But the play control and graphics are below average; the game feels like it was made in a hurry. Worst of all, Wolverine's only attacks are a slow punch that always gets me hit, and a claw punch which drains energy. The best way to play this game is to run and jump through opponents, never stopping to fight them. There is no incentive to stand and kill bad guys. Also, I played until about level 5, and never saw any other Marvel characters except pictures of Sabretooth's face when he makes commentary between levels. I never fought any bosses either.

Want a good "X-men" game for the nes? Well good luck because there really isnt one. Wolverine for the NES IS substatially better than its counter part, "x-men" for the nes, Which really isn't saying much. If your a wolverine fan you will find it fun but will be confused at some of the things that just don't make sence in the marvel universe.
